A delicious and comforting smothered chicken and rice dish that’s perfect for family dinners.

Ingredients

  • 4 pieces chicken thighs
  • 1 cup long-grain rice
  • 2 cups chicken broth
  • 1 medium onion, chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • Salt to taste
  • Black pepper to taste
  • 1/2 cup heavy cream

Instructions

  1. In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add the chicken thighs and brown on both sides.
  2. Remove the chicken and set aside. In the same skillet, add onion and garlic, sauté until softened.
  3. Stir in the rice and cook for 1-2 minutes.
  4. Add chicken broth, paprika, salt, and pepper. Bring to a boil.
  5. Return the chicken to the skillet, reduce heat, cover, and simmer for about 20-25 minutes until rice is cooked.
  6. Stir in the heavy cream before serving.

Notes

  • Serve with steamed vegetables for a complete meal.
  • You can substitute chicken thighs with breasts if preferred.
