  • 1 ½ cups crushed graham crackers
  • ½ cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • ½ cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 4 (8 ounce) packages cream cheese, softened
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 4 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 1 cup crushed peppermint candies
  • 8 ounces chocolate, chopped
  • ½ cup heavy cream

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a bowl, mix the graham cracker crumbs, cocoa powder, sugar, and melted butter until combined.
  3. Press the mixture into the bottom of a springform pan.
  4. In a separate bowl, beat the cream cheese until smooth. Gradually add sugar, followed by eggs, vanilla, and sour cream.
  5. Mix in crushed peppermint candies.
  6. Pour the cheesecake batter over the crust.
  7. Bake for 55-60 minutes until the center is set. Let it cool.
  8. To make the chocolate ganache, heat the cream and pour it over the chopped chocolate. Stir until smooth.
  9. Pour the ganache over the cooled cheesecake and refrigerate.
  10. Decorate with additional peppermint candies before serving.

  • For easier slicing, use a hot knife.
  • Allow the cheesecake to chill overnight for best flavor.
