  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 2 tablespoons melted butter
  • 1 egg
  • 1 cup shredded cheese
  • 1/2 cup cooked and crumbled sausage

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine sourdough discard, flour, salt, sugar, baking powder, milk, melted butter, and egg until a dough forms.
  3. Roll out the dough on a floured surface and cut it into circles.
  4. Fill each circle with cheese and sausage, then fold and seal the edges.
  5. Place the pockets on a baking sheet and bake for 20-25 minutes or until golden brown.
  6. Allow to cool slightly before serving.
