A comforting and quick meal that combines ground beef, orzo, and creamy tomato sauce.

  • 1 cup orzo pasta
  • 1 can (14.5 ounces) diced tomatoes
  • 1 cup beef broth
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add onions and garlic, and sauté until softened.
  2. Add ground beef and cook until browned. Drain excess fat.
  3. Stir in diced tomatoes, beef broth, and Italian seasoning. Bring to a simmer.
  4. Add orzo and cook according to package instructions, stirring occasionally.
  5. Once orzo is tender, stir in heavy cream and season with salt and pepper. Cook for an additional few minutes until heated through.
  6. Serve warm, garnished with fresh herbs if desired.
