Ingredients

  • 1 cup unsalted butter
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 2 cups semisweet chocolate chips
  • 1 cup chopped nuts (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. Line a baking sheet with saltine crackers.
  3. In a saucepan, melt the butter and brown sugar together, stirring until smooth.
  4. Pour the mixture over the crackers and bake for 5-7 minutes.
  5. Remove from the oven and sprinkle chocolate chips on top, allowing them to melt.
  6. Spread the melted chocolate evenly, then top with chopped nuts if desired.
  7. Let cool, then break into pieces.
